No prob. 99% of the benefit is just from getting up. Don’t even worry about a walk. Just stand up every 20 minutes.

If you want to add exercise, then every hour or 2, go to the bathroom and do your squats in the stall.

I’d also suggest to most people consider owning the oddness, and if someone asks about it, tell them the truth that you read an article about the health benefits of doing a few squats every half hour to combat chronic sitting.

Most people will accept it at that, if they ask. You can also mention, hopefully truthfully, that you feel more focused and have better energy by result.

Some people are insecure about seeing others do things like this and I’m aware of that. If someone like that happens to be your boss, then be strategic and stick with just standing up and sitting back down every half hour.

If you have a cubicle I doubt anyone will ever notice.

If not, say you’re just resetting your posture, and again, that you read it in a health journal.

Since it’s so benign most people, even insecure bosses, will likely accept it as whatever.
