I love this quote, and I think it’s the best diet advice generally.
Some diets are great tools for specific people though.
I’ve heard and learned more since I originally wrote this article, and from what I can gather, the carnivore diet is probably good for two things:
1.) Autoimmune Conditions from food allergies (plants have a high capacity for aggravating genetically sensitive people)
2.) healing the gut biome by starving bad bacteria of fiber. The elemental diet works similarly.
For the lay person, is carnivore diet healthier? If you eat processed foods, then yes, probably, but it’s still probably not the “best” diet.
It’s funny to me how much flak the carnivore diet gets, when it’s still a diet of purely “real food” and is infinitely better (probably) than a diet of processed, high sugar, etc. foods.
Personally I may try the carnivore diet for a month just to test it out. Generally though, I love my Brussel sprouts and kale.
Main point of this article was just to say there is no reason to condemn carnivore. But I think overall carnivore diet should be used as a tool for specific problems (just like the ketogenic diet) rather than a recommendation for genpop.
