I completely understand the agony over what fancy desk to acquire, same with fancy chairs.
Fortunately it really is as simple as a posture change every half hour. What surprised me most in writing this article was the discovery that stagnation, including excessive standing, is the culprit moreso than purely sitting.
I think that standing desks are still in general better, due to the ease of movement. If I’m already standing, it’s easy to walk over to a colleague, but I can go hours sitting in a comfy chair.
Grease the groove is an awesome way to address this. To me it’s even easier than just standing, since I’m also thinking of fitness goals.
